The Laugh at Cancer Organization Inc is 501 c 3 a non-profit organization that is helping families touched by cancer and restoring hope. Come by our support community and see how we are attempting to do the impossible, by making difference together. We hope you will choose to become a volunteer, so you can share your passion with those in need. If you choose to volunteer, please fill the application and send it back to me.

Additionally, please familiarize yourself with our entire website and discover how we are touching our member’s and visitor’s lives. Please take a moment review what the Laugh At Cancer Org mission is and familiarize yourself with our several support communities and fund-raising projects that are aimed to help families touched by cancer.

Before leaving stop by our support community and meet our other beloved members, who. However, don't forget to donate a blanket or two, because we depend on our volunteers and members to help us make a difference. This non-profit receives no government funding or grants, so we are dependent on our member’s and visitor’s donations to stay alive.

Volunteer Opportunities

. Currently, we have been working on ways to get members involved in the local and support community online. We are adding new administrators and are still in need of your help, as we expand.

• Local Chapters- This position will require running a chapter from your home and allow people to meet once a month. You will need to collect gifts locally to give out and plan for managing the group. Please remember you must represent Laugh At Cancer Org. in a positive way.

• Project Managers- This person would supervise our many projects. Volunteers must have prior experience.

• Public Relations- This person will need to advertise our cause to others. Volunteers must have prior experience to apply for this position.

• Staff members- We need two or three more community administrators for the group. You duties will include welcoming members, answering their questions, and helping to monitor the new communities.

• Peer Support- We need people to offer their support as needed, with in our communities. Offer friendship and encouragement but not advice on medical treatment.

• Local chapters- We need staff in each city and country to collect donations of blanket and small gifts to pass out from your community. We can provide a global chain of hope that spreads into every community, with your help!

• Group stewards-We have several groups that need someone to keep them up to date with information.

• Fundraising- We need help in all fundraising efforts.

• Forum Stewards- Additionally, we have forums that they are available for someone to update or manage. The forum steward would make sure the postings are appropriate and initiate conversation for members to respond to.

• Promoters on social sites- The responsibilities would be helping to get the word out about our community. If you like social networking, then you will enjoy this position. Basically, you will add links to our group or website on you profile and say a few words about our community.

• Bloggers- Our community has a blog that allows different authors to post information. I am looking for about 5 to 6 bloggers to come write with us. You may post current information about cancer research, awareness, inspirational stories, products to help patients, or anything that may help our members.

• Blankets and Small Gifts- We need people to collect throw blanket and small gifts, so we can continue or Day of Hope Project.

• Send greeting cards and small gifts- We need one or two people, who want to send greeting cards to our members monthly, for birthdays, holidays, and more.

We have partnered with SchoolHeart.com to offered our members a membership card with benefits for a 25$ donation each year. You may opt out of purchasing the membership card, but it can save you hundreds of dollars and help plant seeds of hope.
